Make the beeping stop (ford)

Post by Manitou »

Anyone know how to stop or at least lessen all the beeping from the ford van? It's annoyingly repetitive. Is this how dub step got started? (Kidding)
It may be related to the procedure to program new remote door locks (which would be great as I have 2 of those that I can't get to work either).

Thanks!

Do you know what is beeping? I can't think of anything that beeps on mine, but maybe it's something I've blanked out due to familiarity. Where does it come from?

(I hate beeps and blinking lights.... ugh.)

My bad.. I should have be more clear. The dash is beeping from door unlock/opening. It goes and goes eventually will stop, but I don't want it to beep at all. Also, I haven't figured out how the auto locking features work exactly.. I'm going to lock myself out someday I'm sure. I gotta get one of those hide a keys soon.

Ah, okay. That sounds like a feature I don't have. I have power locks, but not the type that "do anything" except when I am pushing the lock buttons on the doors, and/or using the key in the door. Then they just make the electro-mechanical sound of locks being triggered and opening/closing. Sounds like it got fancier by 2004.
