Team,
Anyone know how to adjust the voltage on the on board Onan Generator? Mine is pushing 203 volts so it is causing a few issues. Not sure if its adjustable or needs new voltage regulator (Not sure where this is located).
Generator pushing 203 volts
Re: Generator pushing 203 volts
There is a manual on the reference section:

Take a look at the maintenance manual. It has some trouble shooting guide there, as well as diagrams that will show you where is the regulator is. Make sure your voltmeter is accurate by testing it on household voltage, and that it is reading reasonably. I once used the DC mode on a AC circuit, and it ready really low number until I touched the wires

BTW, if the voltage is really that high, you may want to shut off all the appliances until this is fixed. Flip all the breakers on the panel except for the outlets (no microwave, converter/charger, fridge, AC etc.). If you have a Kill-a-watt, or other similar device, you may want to plug it in to see the voltage and frequency measurement. In order to make that high of a voltage, the genset maybe racing, and it should sound different, esp. even under no load.
