I'm new here and have looked all over for others who have completely redone the interior of their rv's, any helpful hints will be greatly appreciated

Chinook interior remodel
We have pulled out almost everything from our old Chinook and our excited to get moving on putting her back together. We will be replacing the toilet but can't agree on the best route, composting, cassette toilet, a bucket or a porcelain Dometic? We are redoing this rv to sell, so curious to what people really want or or willing to use because I would rather have more room in my rv for a comfortable bed than a flushing toilet, my husband claims most women aren't willing to use a bucket or a composting toilet like I am...lol!

Re: Chinook interior remodel
Debates between toilet options bring out alot of opinions, I know that on expeditionportal.com there are a bunch of in-depth threads on best toilet system for our rigs and situations.
At end of day I think what is best is simply personal preference, so if you are looking at resale than I would probably keep flush toilet with black tank because this will appeal to the most people looking for one of these rigs. By going with alternative I think you are limiting appeal.

Yeah, I'm team flush toilet on this one, but for me there are two issues:
1. I know how to deal with a blackwater tank and flush toilet. It's the most common system for rigs of this size, so it's familiar and reasonably easy to find info/service/etc. For the kind of camping I do, where there are almost always dump stations close by, there's just no good reason to swap it for something else.
2. I also would not be willing to buy a camper that did not have a shower enclosure of some kind. Being able to sluice down my whole body without having to make a trip to a public facility is an amazing luxury and well worth the space it takes up. If I'm going to have the shower space anyway, might as well put a toilet in it.
I'm willing to do without a lot of other luxuries. I've ripped out my furnace, propane stove, microwave, and 3-way fridge, my water heater has been broken for half a year, and I've removed a lot of cabinetry. But the shower/toilet would get fixed at once if they were broken.

I agree that for resale value the flushing toilet is going to appeal to more people. Cool to see a dodge 4x4 BTW.
