Re: Cracked taillight
Blue - Go, you are right. My Chinook is exactly like the photos you posted. The ford chassis is an LT 2100 E - 350 super duty.
I checked with a Ford dealership, no problem in replacing the taillight cover.
This Chinook Forum, is awesome. After retiring, I bought my first RV. In the last 3 months it has taken me on many wonderful adventures.
Seeing as I have no knowledge about rv-ing, or the mechanics of my unit, (other than the library of manuals the previous owner included) this forum has answered questions before I knew to ask them.

Wandering Willow,
How nice to hear your positive message, both about buying your RV and enjoying it, and that the forum has been helpful. I hope you'll find reason to stick around.
Being that most of us here are probably more familiar with the Concourse/Premier, it's interesting to see the Eagle and what is similar/different.
BTW, the "LT 2100" is part of Chinook's model designation (for example, mine would be a Chinook XL). The LT is likely a certain package or level of "luxury," such as "Eagle LT," and the 2100 is the length (21' nominal). The E-350 part is Ford's chassis designation. To be more specific, it's an E-350 cutaway with DRW (dual rear wheels). I believe all of the E-350's may have been "super duty," although I'm not positive (back in the day, they used super duty to mean something, but I'm not sure it does anymore). At any rate, I don't know of any chassis differences between any of the E-350 cutaways with DRW and the typical engines.
Again, welcome!
BG

Re: Cracked taillight
BG ... it has a V10-415ci 6.8L motor ... I'm not sure what all that means, but it gets me were I want to go.
Re: Cracked taillight
Well that means you got the big (biggest!) gas engine available in our years. When the V10 was new (around 1997) it looked like all the 21' Chinooks got that engine, but then I noticed that a bit later (I think), maybe the Premier got the 5.4 V8 stock, and you could optionally get the V10. So I thought maybe the Eagle would have the V8.
At any rate, now you know you're good to pull a house
(I have the V10 as well; had its sister, the 5.4 V8 in a previous van.)
