I picked up my "new to me" 2004 Concourse this past Friday. Met in Omaha, and immediately Drove it 700 miles home to Texas (I-35 in Kansas is a toll road, but only $8.50 for where I entered).
I noticed that the running lights were not working. My Concourse came with a single Key FOB that locks the front and rear entry door. The only time I see the running lights come on, is when I lock the doors, then they stay on for about 30 seconds. I can not get them to come on when I turn on the switch by the "generator start". I believe that is the switch for these running lights.
Maybe there is a poor ground, directly associated to that switch? I have no idea, and only recently started to diagnose.
At least I know the lights work, they just fail to power up from the On/off switch.
could it be a fuse, or relay? Any suggestions?
Thank you,
-Michael

Re: Running lights on 2004 Concourse (only work when locking doors with key fob)
I assume you mean the driving lights in the front bumper. They should come on with the ceiling switch, but I have read of some cases where they were tied into the headlight operation as well. Seems like the headlights may have needed to be on, or had to have the brights either on or off. And at least have to have the ignition turned on. Good luck. That's a beautiful Chinook you found.Baitguru wrote: April 20th, 2020, 9:47 am I picked up my "new to me" 2004 Concourse this past Friday. Lights on mine only work when headlights are on high beam. And switch on console is on.

Re: "Marker" (not running) lights on 2004 Concourse (only work when locking doors with key fob)
I apologize, I was mistaken and an RV dealership that I made an appointment (for one hour on Thursday to go over the water and propane gas operations) indicated that these lights are "marker lights", they are the yellow/orange lights on the outside near the top, front sides, and in the rear.
However, that is excellent information on the fog (low front bumper lights) lights. Mine are currently broken, and that is on my list of items to fix address. That they come on with the high beams. To be honest, I am impressed with the brightness and coverage of the Original lights during my initial drive back home.
Thank you,
-Michael
