Storage Boxes

Does anyone use storage boxes in the overhead cabinets to keep things organized? I'm trying to find something that'll fit. I'm thinking shoebox size maybe?

I found a certain size plastic basket that fit well - just nipped in and sat down (without going under the swoop at the outer wall). I'll have to see if I can find a photo online, because mine are all stored away during my project, but they were just cheapie dollar store ones. I'm all for buying quality stuff, but these fit the best of any I tried, plus they stack together when empty.

I also used those white coated wire "platforms" with four spindly legs in a couple of the cabinets (for dishes, etc.)

I'll see if I can find photos and post them here.

Okay, basically these:

And these in the uppers that don't have baskets:

Side note: Although, after re-arranging things a few times, I've ended up putting folded clothing in the forward four upper cabinets on (two each side). They're relatively light, happen to fit (and utilize the tuck-under space under the side roof swoop), don't come crashing out on my head after a bumpy drive, and are easy to see and find there.

We use a variety of plastic storage boxes, some open, some sealed with tight fitting lids. Walmart usually has a good selection in their kitchen organizer area.

We also use compression sacks for clothing, and bedding. REI sells good quality, durable compression sacks.

We are always looking to cut down on the amount of stuff we take. When we unload after several months on the road we always find things that we've not used or hardly used.

These Sterilite baskets fit well in the upper side cabinets http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BA ... ge_o05_s00
and two of these fit above the front seats http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BD ... ge_o05_s00
The flared top edge does waste some space, but they are easy to pull out and put back, and are great for keeping cargo under control plus stocking and cleaning out the rv.

The Sterilite baskets are good in the rear hanging locker too. A small one in the well to be able to get whatever you store there out easily and for some air circulation. And a larger one can stack on top of that.
