Chinook RV

I have a 2004 Premier 2100

looking for some input on solar panels that fit best on the roof, make and model or sizes.

I am thinking of removing the crank up antenna and use to gain access thru the roof.

I ran 2/0 gauge from the batteries to behind the drivers seat into a 4 lug battery terminal block
This is where I want to hookup the MPPT Solar controller and Inverter

I would like to put solar on the roof and also be able to plug in a suitcase unit so i don't have to be in the sun all the time

I did read thru the thread on the forum, but did not see the make of Panels and size

I have Renogy panels on my rig. Only because at the time they were the narrowist panels i could locate without having some custom made.
Recently i ran across a company called ZAMP that makes what appears to be nearly a perfect size for our rigs but they are only 90 watt panels.
They are monocrystaline so thats good, they measure 58.4″ x 13.5″ x 1.5″.

Dave, the original panel is made by Siemen, and there is a spec sheet on the Reference section.

Check it out, the Zamp solar panels are the perfect fit for the chinook. Not sure whos Chinook it is but it looks a bit dirty and rough, also not sure how he plans to perform any maintenance on the A/C or anything else on the roof. At 58 inches long each he could have just installed 4 of the Zamp panels end to end if he had moved them forward a bit. He would have had 360 watts of solar and still had some access to the roof.

I have two 100watt Renogy Eclipse panels on mine, i may yank them off and swap them out for a pair of these just because they are the proper size.
