To be honest, i am not a hundred percent what "DIP" switches are but If there are fuses up there I can at least make sure they are there and not blown and look for anything obvious. Ill have to do some research about the switches. So far everything seems hardwired in correctly and has power/ ground no opens. Just need to look into the comfort control since that is what is in between power and the furnace. Watered down thought process,lol,

The above is an Atari pin ball circuit. If I have time tomorrow, I maybe able to take off the cover and get you the actual dip switch pic from my rig. However, once you see one, you should be able to recognize another easily.

oh geez, Atari and pin ball! That takes me back....... Thank you so much for offering to jump right in on getting that pic! From your picture of the Atari one above and doing some homework yesterday, I think I should take a stab at doing it before you put yourself out. However if I fail miserably I will probably beg for a picture of yours. lol, This whole project is just kinda been a frogger game of balancing work, home remodel, girlfriend etc, so i am using chunks of hours to do small things here and there like I did Wednesday. I am thinking though, Sunday I will have a good couple hour block of time in between things to get up there and get the cover off. I took a look up there yesterday, doesn't look any more difficult to get the cover off than my older Coleman on my 5th wheel. I will be sure to report my findings, and thank you everybody for your input and thoughts/pictures! its really been a help.

Happy Monday everybody! I did manage to get myself up on the roof yesterday and get the cover off the AC unit. There was an addition galvanized cover to remove to get to a wiring junction underneath. I should have taken pictures but I am already uneasy with heights so I just focused on the task at hand. All the DIP switches were in the OFF position. I flipped switch no. 5 and reset the comfort control and cycled MODE button and the FURNACE was picked up and function was available. I did verify it controlled furnace and furnace blower came on! but a mouse nest blew out of the under dinette duct like a fan to feathers so I switched it off pending removal of the heater unit for a health assessment and cleaning. I don't know why all the DIPS are off and how long have they been off? since new? did she have work done up there ten years ago? did she ever have the furnace working?? No idea, but I functioned checked everything after replacing the AC cover and AC still got cold and hot and I rechecked the mode button could select furnace and it still did So at this point im not going to ask any questions cause everything works now. Just wanted to post a confirm fix, DIP switch. Thanks you all for your input and giving me a direction on where to go with this. I don't think I would have ended up on the roof a/c if I was diagnosing a no furnace operation from scratch with this.

Has anybody removed their furnace from their coach? I really need to take mine out and clean/ replace it due to mouse intrusion. I was assuming it just has some self-tappers at the base of the unit holding it down? couldn't see anything obvious last night looking down on it.

That's perfect thanks! I thought I had recalled Blue-go had removed his furnace but wasn't 100% sure.

Yep, that was me. I forget if you have a dinette or club layout. The only thing that was hard was that it was difficult to reach the fasteners holding the forward club chair base in place. I could tell it was hard originally too, because they were all slightly slanted due to the very tight conditions between club base and furnace. Chinook even lowered the floor there slightly! I bet it's much easier with the dinette base.

But all that said, I think it took me less than an hour or two.

I never put it back because, 1) Glorious storage, 2)Noise, 3)Amp draw, and 4)inefficient propane use. However, I'm getting lazy and miss being able to reach out from my pillow and hit the thermostat (as I could do in my camper van). So I think this winter I'm going to put in a Propex furnace. (Lower amp draw, more efficient, smaller, and I can run longer ducts so no more icy bathroom.)
