Suburban furnace operating

On reading Blue's post I just remembered that I had a few photos from back then. I found the wiring schematic that is on the AC control unit inside the interior shroud, and it shows the connection to the furnace. So that wiring does go through the AC unit itself. If you open yours, I imagine it will have the same diagram (though mine is from the new Dometic models available in 2013 when I got mine).

Well duh, why didn't I think of that. Here are the labels from mine. One shows the model number (circa 1999) and the other is sort of a schematic by description, that might be useful. I also have photos of more of the wiring if it comes to that. Pardon the wrinkles

Oh, and as you can see at the top left, it does call out the two BLUE wires as being for the furnace! So, at least on mine, if you open the inside shroud, you can check that the two blue wires from the aircon are connected to the red and white wire (in the round brown jacket), one apiece. The round brown jacket comes in through the ceiling into the side of the cutout through a silicone blob (along with the phone wire).

Thank you all for the replies! I got derailed Friday when the Chinook broke down on my way to work. Long story short It ended up being a fairly typical 7.3l problem but had to spend most of my weekend getting a valve cover lifted off the engine and back together again. But I will be re-reading the replies as I pick back up on the furnace situation.

I have the day off and spending some time back on the furnace situation, thank you all for your input, i checked all the fuses in the brown DC junction under the sink and they all tested good with power on both sides of them. I have the plastic cover off the roof ac, is there another cover to remove to see the dip switches?

Got some more exposed, found the blue wires, they seemed to be plugged in to a small white and red wire,there is phone plug just hanging out not plugged into anything as well as a whit two wire plug, as shown, there is also a phone coupling with two plugs in it, no spot for a third,

Took the cover over the heater, found a mouse nest surprise, checked the wiring down there, its not chewed through, the red blue has power and so does the red. The blue whit is showing ground, as well as the yellow/white.

I think the board with the DIP switches you are looking for is on the roof in the AC under the shroud. I suspect your problem is probably the DIP switch setting. Remember to reset the controller if you change the DIP switches, so it will recognize the change.

I think the board with the DIP switches you are looking for is on the roof in the AC under the shroud. I suspect your problem is probably the DIP switch setting. Remember to reset the controller if you change the DIP switches, so it will recognize the change.

Ahhhh, ok, that will have to be another day, i have a dinner function i have to start getting ready for, but i will plan on doing that next, everything seems to be hooked up as has power where it needs it so that has to be the next thing i look at. Might vacuum up that smelly mouse nest first though, lil buggers, they manage to get into the craziest places, Thanks!

I can't speak to the dip switches, but I am familiar with that inside wiring. The two blue "furnace" wires going to the red and white looks correct.

Mine did also have that black phone cord end unattached to anything. And then the rectangular connector with one phone wire in each end, which looks like what you have (my Air-con and furnace both worked).

There are the "comfort control" wires called out in the bottom right corner of the diagram paper I showed. Might check those?

Or else maybe it is something about the dip switches (which I'm not familiar with). I just have photos of the wiring in the shroud because I documented it all in case I wanted to put on another Air-con someday.
