Well, update on refrigerator...freezer got down to 10 degrees and fridge I kept at around 40 degrees. Put about 1 dozen frozen water bottles in freezer. We spent 3 days at the HOT Galveston, Texas beach. Been home 2 days now and no electric hooked up to the Chinook and all water bottles are still over halfway frozen!!!! I am impressed. Electric was hooked up during the stay at the beach but not since we pulled up anchor 2 days ago. Thanks for all the good advise. One more thing I learned...when you get on the Boliver Ferry to Galveston...security checks your propane tanks!! Mostly to make sure they are turned off!!

My refrigerator/freezer is on LP 24/7 no matter if underway or even parked in our driveway. That way we are ready to use it in an instant and often do! All the tunnels in the Hampton/Norfolk/Va Beach area require you to stop and check that the LP valve is closed. At the next stop, we just open it up.

I usually use the AC when the rig is on my driveway to keep the fridge running. I hate to get propane filled more than necessary.
