A/C's not getting cold
A/C's not getting cold
I'm looking at a 1998 Concurse to buy. Both cab and camper A/C comes on but does not get cold. Are these generally serviceable or should I plan on replacements? I know not much info but it's all I have. Thanks!
Re: A/C's not getting cold
First, let me apologize for taking so long to approve this post.
While both are serviceable, I opted to replace the roof mount house a/c. I did repair it once, but when something else busted on it a year later, the whole thing got replaced (did it myself).
As for the cab a/c, it’s a standard ford e350 system. They are known to have an issue with a vacuum leak. Any shop versed in e350’s could work on it (provided the Rv fit in whatever work space they want to work on vehicles in)

Re: A/C's not getting cold
Unless it's something easily serviceable like the thermostat, start capacitor, or pehaps the blower motor, roof RV air conditioners are generally considered non-servicable.
The main reason is because they don't have refrigerant charging ports.

I did not know that. Anyone know what it took to put one on it when they were making it? Or there is a good rationale for skipping the part?kdarling wrote: August 25th, 2018, 11:16 am ...
